(formerly Wharton Emerson), who took the name of Amcotts before that of Ingilby by Royal licence, 1800, on the death of her mother, and inherited the Kettlethorpe estates [ Lincolnshire ]; their son became Sir William Amcotts-Ingilby, Bart., of Kettlethorpe Park [ Lincolnshire ] and Ripley Castle [ West Riding of Yorkshire ].
