Migrated to Trinity Hall, Nov. 6, 1787; Scholar; Browne medal, 1787; B.A. (3 rd Wrangler and 2nd Smith's prize) 1790; Chancellor's Classical medal, 1790; M.A. 1793; Seatonian prize, 1794, 1800, 1811, 1812. Adm. at Trinity in 1794 (date unrecorded in Adm. Reg. ). The Fellowship (in Divinity) at Trinity Hall, for which he had applied, was awarded to the Rev. John Vickers, who was not a member of the College. 'This unexpected rebuff was deeply mortifying to Wrangham, and caused no little excitement at Cambridge.'
