Lived latterly at Southsea, where he died Nov. 3, 1892.
M.I. in Bury St Edmund's Cathedral, erected 'by 54 of his old boys, in honour of a great master, a kind teacher and an eminent scholar.' Left to Christ's College his collection of Slavonic books.
