M., of Oxford, were famous when Association football was beginning to develop as a public entertainment. Adm. Solicitor, Nov. 1889; practised in London (Messrs Walters and Co., 9, New Square, Lincoln's Inn). Sometime President of the Law Society. A director of the London Guarantee and Accident Co., and of the Phoenix Assurance Co. Married, 1892, Amy Constance Parbury, 3rd dau. of G. W. Parbury, of Ifield, Crawley, and had issue. Registrar of Charterhouse, 1910-38. Died May 2, 1941, at Holmwood, Surrey ; buried at Coldharbour, near Dorking.
