Puisne Judge, King's Bench, 1837. Received a warrant to organise a Court of equity in Upper Canada , but the Governor, caused his amotion. Judge in Demerara and, later, in New South Wales J.P. and D.L. for Worcs. Married (1) Aug. 8, 1824, Mary Isabella, eldest dau. of Thomas Lyon-Bowes, 11th Earl of Strathmore, and had one son; the marriage was dissolved by Act of Parliament, 1833; (2) Sept. 15, 1836, Ann Susanna Kent , eldest dau. of Col. Thomas Henry Bund, of Wick Episcopi, and had further issue.
