On the death of his brother in 1829 he succeeded to the reversion of the following Places-clerk of the Hanaper, patentee of bankrupts, and prothonotary of the Court of Pleas at Durham; these judicial sinecures were abolished by the Bankruptcy Acts, 1831, but an equivalent life annuity of £11,734. 2 s. 5 d. was granted to him.
Married, June 4, 1811, Mary Frances, 6th dau. of the Hon. Thomas Lyon.
Latterly of Baynard's Park, Horsham, where he died Sept. 26, 1874.
