Curator of the Leeds City Art Gallery, 1912-17. During the latter part of the Great War, 1914-19, worked at the Admiralty. For several years actively connected with the Woman suffrage movement. Editor of Art and Letters. Author, Varsity Types; The Path to Paris; Rossetti; Whistler; Evolution in Modern Art; The Poetry of Architecture; Art in my Time; and of a Guide to Cambridge, which ran into many editions.
