Member of the Egyptian Conseil de Tresor, 1876; subsequently President; Comptroller-General in Egypt; retired in 1879. Married, 1861, Frances, dau. of Henry Tennant, of Cadoxton Lodge, Glamorganshire. Lived latterly at the Priory, Old Windsor, where he died May 5, 1893.
