An intimate associate of Oliver Heywood, in whose diaries is frequent mention of his visits to Lassell [Lascelles] Hall [ West Riding of Yorkshire ] for religious exercises. Licensed as chaplain to William Cotton, of Denby Grange, Penistone [ West Riding of Yorkshire ], 1672-87 . Went to Liverpool [ Lancashire ] in 1687 and became the founder of nonconformity there.
