He was almost certainly the secretary to Archbishop Whitgift; and adm. as such, to Gray's Inn, 10 Aug., 1592. Married Elizabeth, dau. of Robert Garnet, of Broxbourne, Hertfordshire . Author, A Report of the Kingdom of Conge, 1597, transiated from the French; A true Discowis upon the Metter of Martha Bressier and other works. (All the authorities; D.N.B., Cooper, Herwood, Brit.
