enthusiastic angler. Editor of the Clergy List, 1889-91, and author of
several books of poems; also edited some classical authors. Committed suicide
by cutting his throat with a razor, being found dead on the footpath of the
Outer Circle of Regent's Park, Oct. 17, 1896. Buried at Lode, Cambs. Brother

Bottisham with Lode, 1837-61, when he resigned. Rural Dean. Antiquarian and
archaeologist. While at Bottisham, through his efforts, the church there was
restored and a church was built in the adjoining village of Lode. He restored
Anglesey Abbey, Cambs., and resided there from 1861 until his death, his widow
continuing to live there until she died in 1887. Died Apr. 26, 1871. Father of
Alfred (1860), Edward (1862), Herbert (1869) and Samuel (1869).
