a study of the history of religious beliefs. Learnt Hebrew, and studied
abroad. Married, 1800, Jane, dau. of Richard Thorpe, Esq., of Milnthorpe, near
Wakefield. Helped to found a home for pauper lunatics near Wakefield. F.S.A.
