Married, May 12, 1807, Sarah, dau. of William Dunn Gardner, who left him a year after marriage and went through a ceremony, Oct. 24, 1809, at Gretna Green with John Margetts; their s., John, afterwards assumed the title of Earl of Leicester, but all the children of this marriage were declared illegitimate by Act of Parliament, 1842.
