In Feb. 1843 he exhibited to the Society of Antiquaries a book on the Swan Marks of the River Ouse of the time of Elizabeth (Archaeologia, xxx. 547). F.S.A., 1844.
Printed at his private press Vice comites Norfolciae, or Sheriffs of Norfolk from the first year of Henry II to the fourth of Queen Victoria; Sigilla Antiqua, from the muniment room of Sir Thomas Hare of Stow Hall.
In 1859 he exhibited to the Society a roll entitled Magnus Annulus, a sort of Calendar extending from 1286-1817 and containing genealogies of the Hare family.
Again in 1861 he exhibited a Mortuary roll of the Abbey of West Dereham; and in 1863 a marriage contract of Thomas Bardolfe, etc.
His last work was the printing of a selection of pedigrees from the visitation of Warwickshire, 1862, of which only 12 copies were struck off; there is no copy in the British Museum.
Contributed frequently to Norfolk Archaeology. Married.
Died, s.p. Feb. 9, 1869, after a few days illness while on a visit to Quebec House, East Dereham, aged 67, and was buried at Stow.
