Went to Geneva and to Basle, where he was admitted
at the University, 1577. The rest of his life was spent
between the continent and England. Preacher at Antwerp
and Middleburg. Returned to England, 1585. Master of the
hospital at Warwick, 1586. Famous as a Puritan controversialist.
Died Dec. 27, 1603, at Warwick. Will (P.C.C.)
