On leaving College travelled abroad for some years. Inherited
his father's estate, but wasted it by generosity and extravagance.
For the last eight years of his life lived at Oxford.
Died there in poverty, Dec. 18, 1676. Known as a poet.
Author: Theophila, or Love's Sacrifice, 1652, and many other
