V. of Swaffham, Norfolk, 1551. Bishop of Ossory, 1552-3. Again a fugitive during the reign of Mary. Returned 1558, and was made Canon of Canterbury, 1560. Died there in 1563. Author, in early life, of several plays. Known later as a learned and bitter protestant controversial writer.
