at an early age a clerk in the Exchequer. Deputy Chamberlain
of the Exchequer, 1603. Drew up many catalogues of
State papers. Member of the Society of Antiquaries founded
by Abp. Parker, 1572. Died 1615. Buried in the cloisters,
