Chaplain to the Lord Mayor of London (Sir William Domville), 1814. Married, 1771, Elizabeth, dau. of Thomas Eyton, of Llanganhafal, Denbighshire , and had issue. Author, Life of Catharine II, Empress of Russia ; A View of the Russian Empire during the Reign of Catharine II; History of Russia from the Foundation of the Monarchy by Rurik, etc. Edited the General Biographical Dictionary .
