Charged with high treason, was sentenced to be hung, drawn and quartered, this sentence being commuted to transportation for life; sent to Tasmania.
Received a conditional pardon, 1854, and in 1856 a free pardon.
Lived sometime in Brussels, and visited America and Poland.
