Paymaster-General of the Forces, 1660 . M.P. for Warwickshire , 1661-79 ; for Warwick [ Warwickshire ], 1679 . Gave the bulk of his library to Trinity College. Married Elizabeth, dau. of Thomas Murray, Provost of Eton [ Buckinghamshire ]. Died 22 Jan., 1700/1; buried at St Mary's, Warwick [ Warwickshire ]. M.I. Doubtless father of Henry Puckering (1654).
