His war services included Commissary of Stores and Provisions for New York from July 17, 1775; Deputy Commissary-General, 1775; resigned, Sept.
7, 1776, because of a dispute with the Commissary-General.
Built 'Teviotdale' in Columbia County.
Died May 14, 1797.
