Society, and sub-editor, later editor, of its Journal; President, 1920-2. Newmarch Lecturer, University College, London. Author of a number of monographs relating to agriculture and to prices, and a paper on the results of the suspension of the Berlin Produce Exchange, for which he was awarded the Statistical Society's Guy medal. His research on the relationship of the weather and the crops was a noteworthy contribution in a little explored field. Jointly responsible for Reports on phenological observations, 1911-13.
