On his first entry into Parliament treated the House to a quotation from Demosthenes and was thereafter styled 'The Lord of Greek.' Owner of many of the most famous racehorses of the day. Married, Apr. 28, 1794, Lady Eleanor Egerton, dau. and sole heiress of Thomas, 1st Earl of Wilton, and had issue.
