Ord. deacon of the first church at Boston, Massachusetts [cu] USA [/cu]. V. of Shalford, Essex , 1648-62, ejected. Afterwards practised medicine at Ridgewell, Essex ; and from 1672, had a congregation there. Married, in New England [cu] USA [/cu], 1639, Susan, dau. of Nathaniel Ward, of Ipswich, Massachusetts [cu] USA [/cu].
