The originals were added to the Royal Library, and, as an acknowledgement of their value, Fenn was knighted, May 23, 1787. 'A Smatterer in antiquity, but a very good sort of man.' Died s.p. Feb. 14, 1794.
Buried in the chancel of Finningham church, Suffolk.
