Editor and printer of Pugh's Hereford Journal, 1788-9. Engaged by the (eleventh) Duke of Norfolk in 1790 to write a detailed History of the County and City of Hereford, of which the first volume was published in 1804, and the first part of a second volume in 1812, but it was left imperfect, the Duke dying in 1815. Ord. deacon, 1791. R. of Talachddu, Brecons., 1793. R. of Frilsham, Berks., 1793. Held these benefices till 1809 when he became R. of Tortington, Sussex. Secretary to the Herefordshire Agricultural Society. Married, 1792, Mary, dau. of William Webb, of Holmer near Hereford, and had issue.
