B.A. 1579-80, 1st in the ordo. Became R.C. and resided in
Paris. Papal envoy to Edinburgh, 1599. Returned to
England, 1603, and was imprisoned for a time in the Tower.
Author, Diana, a collection of sonnets, 1592. Died at Liege,
