a tutor-Milton was one of his pupils. In 1612-3 he acted as
Divinity professor and catechist at Trinity College, Dublin
( Peile, I. 232), but returned to Cambridge. Dean of Cashel,
1633. Provost of Trinity, Dublin, Aug. 20, 1634-40. Treasurer
of St Patrick's Cathedral, 1636. Bishop of Cork, 1638.
Returned to England, Dec. 26, 1641. Imprisoned at Tenby
for some months. Author, theological. Died at Derby, May
14, 1649. Buried at Bilsthorpe, Notts. M.I. there. Brother
