Cudworth, Charles.
Adm. pens. at TRINITY, Feb. 18,
1674-5. Matric. 1675-6. One of these names applied to the
Archbishop of Canterbury, July 30, 1681, for ordination on the
plea that he was 'M.A. of Christ's, and over 24 years of age';
which is not true. The probable facts are that he was a son
of Dr Ralph Cudworth, Master of Christ's; that he was, as
above, of Trinity; and that he went to India in 1683, and
died there in 1684. Brother of John (1672). ( Peile, II. 49.)
