Previously on the stage – where he acquired fame as a boy actor – being known as Young Roscius; appeared in London and the provinces; also in Scotland and Ireland.
Played Romeo at Belfast, and Hamlet and Prince Arthur, at Dublin, 1803.
Appeared at Covent Garden and Drury Lane, 1804, 1805.
Retired from the stage in 1808, having amassed a considerable fortune.
Prepared for the University by Mr Wollaston of the Charterhouse.
Resided till Christmas, 1810.
Returned to the stage, 1812, and continued to act till 1824, but with much less success than before; retired, 1824.

Numerous verses on the 'Young Roscius,' appeared in G. Mag. Died Aug. 24, 1874, aged 82, in Ampthill Square, London.
