near Lynn, Norfolk, c. 1495. Friend and contemnporary of
Bishop Bale. Early became an Augesti?? friar; studied
at their house in Cambridge, and became prior. Embraced
Reformed opinions, and was imprisoned. Escaped to
Antwerp. Returned on the invitation of Cromwell, 1531.
Employed on foreign missions by the King. Finally relapeed,
