Probably of E. Bilney, Norfolk. Ord. priest (Ely) June 18,
1519. An early reformer and intimate friend of Latimer.
Licensed to preach in Ely diocese, 1525. Repeatedly tried
for heresy, and his license revoked. Imprisoned in the Tower.
Finally convicted, and burnt at Norwich, Aug. 19, 1531.
