J.P. In 1909, submitted a petition, in company with Cuthbert Mathias Kenworthy (later Lord Strabolgi) and Alexander Henry Leith, for the termination of the abeyances of the baronies of Cobham, of Strathbogie and Burgh.
Their claims were heard by the Committee for Privileges in 1911; in 1912 it was decided that Dr Alexander was a co-heir to the baronies named; the attainder on the Barony of Cobham in 1603 was reversed by Act of Parliament shortly after Dr Alexander's death at Blackwall Lodge, on Feb. 14, 1916.
His son, Gervase Disney, accordingly succeeded to the Barony of Cobham, being summoned by writ to the House of Lords, Sept. 8, 1916.
